SuiGeneris Consulting's privacy and data security practice members understand data-use business models and how data flows generate profits for our clients. Our experts have extensive underlying subject matter experience at the interface between information security requirements, data protection & - privacy law and economics; especially in information security, quality management, consumer protection, intellectual property, software programming and risk assessment.
That enables us to provide strategic business consulting on all aspects of information policy, including privacy, information security and records management.

Philipp E. Fischer (Owner)
Philipp E. Fischer, a lawyer based in Munich, Germany, completed his Master of Laws in intellectual property law at the School of Law of Queen Mary University of London and the Technical University of Dresden. Along with attending courses in computer, cyberspace, e-commerce and privacy and information law with Professors Ian Walden and Christopher Millard, he completed his dissertation, "Will Privacy Law in the 21st Century Be American, European or International?", supervised by Dr. Julia Hörnle.
After working for the Madrid law firm mmm&m, Amazon.de and DSB Consulting in the Department for Data Protection Services, he founded SuiGeneris Consulting in 2005.
Mr. Fischer guarantees great expertise in all professional aspects as a Data Protection Officer and -Auditor for years. He is officially certified as an Internal and External Data Protection Officer and Data Protection Auditor (TÜV) and holds ITIL® Expert and PRINCE2® Foundation & Practitioner certificates. He is currently undertaking courses for the certification program of CIPP/E.

Nicolás Costa Behrens
Nicolás Costa Behrens holds a diploma in computer science of the Technical University of Munich. Mr. Costa has extensive knowledge and experience as an IT admin, website designer, -composer and -admin as well as a CMS (Content Management System) admin.
Mr. Costa's language proficiencies: German (native), Spanish (native), English (advanced) and French (basic).

Marc D. Mimler
Marc D. Mimler is a fully qualified German attorney (Rechtsanwalt) and is admitted to the bar association of Munich. He obtained a Master's degree at Queen Mary University of London in intellectual property law in 2008. He is currently undertaking PhD research in patent law at Queen Mary's Intellectual Property Research Institute (QMIPRI).
Mr. Mimler has extensive knowledge in all aspects of intellectual property (IP) laws, including copyright law, patent law, trademark law and competition law in German and British legislation. He gained extensive experience in IP portfolio management in a London city law firm in various fields of intellectual property.

Dan Manolescu
Dan Manolescu holds a Master of Law and Technology (LL.M.), with specialisation in data protection and privacy, a Master of Arts with a focus on Internet regulations and cybercrime, and a Bachelor of Law degree (LL.B.).
Mr. Manolescu´s language proficiencies: English (fluent), Romanian (native) and French (advanced).
Mr. Manolescu has working experience with the European Commission and the European Parliament. Thus, he has expert knowledge of Regulation 45/2001 and Directive 95/46. In 2010 he founded the E-Crime Expert Law Firm, a SuiGeneris Consulting's partner.
Mr. Manolescu is our specialist in cybercrime legislation, -enforcement, -jurisdiction, -complaints, -research and -presentations. He provides services in notification and documentation for personal data processing and compliance and takes care of your cross-border transfers of personal data (e.g. Safe Harbour, contracts, BCR) and privacy notices. Mr. Manolescu services include the drafting of contracts/contractual clauses (e-commerce contracts, cloud computing, ICT, outsourcing, sub-contracting, controller and co-controllership) in order to comply with the National Data Protection Authorities.

Tomás F. Vio Michaelis
Tomás F. Vio Michaelis is a fully qualified Chilean attorney (Abogado) and is admitted to the bar association of Chile. He holds a Master's degree (Specialisation: Intellectual Property Law) of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich. Mr. Vio has been working as an IP Consultant in the collecting society of Chile (Sociedad Chilena del Derecho de Autor, SCD) and is an experienced speaker on various topics of intellectual property law.
